It was in the late 1700s when craftsmen of Yal Blenio introduced chocolate to Switzerland. Initially, there was nothing to suggest that the Swiss would be particularly skillful at chocolate making. Nevertheless, the same technical abilities that served the watch industry must have been at work in the chocolate arena, as the early pioneers developed both innovative machines and ever more tasty recipes. A Swiss chocolatier, Daniel Peter, is credited with a major innovation: he introduced the first milk chocolate to the world.
